Lindy Whiton has lived in Greenfield Massachusetts all of her adult life. As an artist and educator, she has been shaped by the members and vibrancy of this community. She has been taking pictures since her teens, but it was not until 2009 when her brother Paul gave her a Pentax camera that she began pursuing photography as not only an artist, but as a way to document all of the beauty of life around her during a transformative time. She began blogging about her experiences and documenting those experiences daily. Lindy captures the spirit of life around her even during the darkest of days, which is evidenced by her winsome landscapes and candid portraits.
Gallery spaces are open during our daytime hours (Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 10am–2pm and Tuesday/Thursday: 10am–noon) and during public events.
Show Your Work
We have two gallery spaces in our large, window-less space in downtown Greenfield, MA. No windows means no sun damage, and lots of uninterrupted white space to better highlight your work.
Both gallery spaces include a reception, generally on the first weekend of the month; marketing and promotions, such as press releases, newspaper listings, Facebook posts, etc. We want to make our gallery space accessible and viable for working artists!
Main gallery space (“long wall”):
- 48 feet wide
- $75 per month rental fee + (only if we handle sales) 15% commission above rental fee
Smaller gallery space (“corner wall”—photos to come):
- 27 feet wide (two spaces, 15 feet and 12 feet)
- $50 per month rental fee + (only if we handle sales) 15% commission above rental fee
Rental fees to be paid by the 1st of the month, and commissions (if applicable) to be collected at the end of the month. Please plan to hang your artwork on the 1st of the month, and take it down promptly on the last day of the month. There will be a late charge of $5 per day.
